Don’t Put All Your Eggs In One Basket -Nie wkładaj wszystkich swoich jajek do jednego koszyka

Today I heard a very distasteful addition to the English language. It is a variation on the old saying, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” meaning, spread out your risk. Here’s the new expression, and I hope it does not catch on. Attention, it is rude so be forewarned.

“Don’t put all your Poles on one plane”

Who comes up with this stuff?

PS One day after hearing this expression and being all outraged, I am now a little less outraged. I mean, they make a good point. Why’d they all fly together anyway? Anyhow, it is way better than a T-shirt I saw saying “Ląduj dziadu!”

For English-only folks: “Ląduj dziadu” (Land, old-timer) is poking fun (in a dark humor sort of a way) at the famous incident in which the late President Kaczyński told a man on the street “Spieprzaj dziadu” which means fuck off, old-timer.

To znaczy, ono stanowi dobry argument.

Let me tell you what my Magnificent said after the incident. He said that if something like this has happened during previous American administration, they would all survive, Bush would need a change of oil, and Cheney tighten up some screws. I think he's right:)))People are just being creative sometime in a wrong way.

OMG!!! I like that kind of a humor, but I never could wear a shirt like it! The first expression is less funny and has much more sense – we soon will be flying – my boyfriend, our son and another small addition to our family in me and I was thinking that this is stupid if something happend… tfu, tfu, tfu!

Miss – I know what you mean. I was ashamed that I laughed and then I was outraged (but I laughed).
